The Guild Hall

Abingdon Duplicate Bridge Club moved to the Guild Hall Abingdon at the beginning of April 2004.  Below are some pictures of what you can expect if you arrive in time to play at 7.20 pm-

-
A view of the main entrance!

The pedestrian entrance from the market square.........

The Council Chamber where bridge is played....

Here are some other photos...............

This is where I look most of the evening... especially when playing with my Wessex League partner.... it helps to pass the time....

Debbie pretending to count....... where's her partner?  JC's outside for a fag no doubt!

Prof. Ashworth trying to make some sense of his partner's convention card....... not easy Andrew is it?  PS who is that with the pink shirt, smiling in the background?  Is it the OBA Chairman?  I hope that portrait doesn't fall..........

Ah... that's where JC is....... making yet another outrageous ruling no doubt!   He is obviously enjoying it too.......PS Debbie's still trying to count....... you have 13 cards Debbie!!  Poor Peter C can't believe it still....

It's a great place to play isn't it!!  Come along and join us - be there ready to sit down at 7.20pm so we can be away by 7.30 prompt.  Play finishes at 10.30.... time for a pint at the Crown and Thistle next door.....
