COUNTY PAIRS COMPETITION 2007/8
This page and its associated links deal with the qualifiers for the two OBA semi-finals to be held on Sunday February 10th starting at 1400 and on Sunday March 2nd, also starting at 1400. These qualifying pairs have been determined from heats around the County held during club nights in the months of October and November 2007. These Clubs were Abingdon, Aylesbury, Banbury, Bicester, Oxford, Summertown, Wantage and Witney. At least 85 competing pairs are needed before semi-finals are deemed necessary. There were 91 pairs competing this year. The pairs chosen from each heat were determined on a pro-rata basis, depending upon the number of pairs electing to participate in the competition. Organisers of the heats have sent in their results sheet and should have also accompanied this with addressed envelopes for the top half of the field and pair availabilities for the two semi-finals. This was not done in all cases, so not all qualifiers have been notified by post, but by an email to the relevant Club Secretary instead.
Please ensure that notification of your intention to play or otherwise has been sent to reach me by 7th January 2008, or your acceptance cannot be guaranteed.
The links for the two semi-finals below contain information on the pairs qualifying from each participating club, whether a written acceptance has been received yet and whether they had requested a particular Semi-final (due to their availability for the two dates). These two links will be updated as pair acceptance becomes available. Please contact me at the email address below if your acceptance (or otherwise) does not appear on these pages within 7 days of the notification being sent. Also included are the pairs that are reserves for both semi-finals - these will be notified if a place becomes available.
